📌 Project Information

A 2-minute AI Co-Created Comic Film: “A story co-written by a human heart and machine mind.

Title: Fragments of Tomorrow

Theme: comic panels)

Tools Used: GPT-4 (story development and script), GPT4o (visual storytelling), Eleven Labs(Natural voiceover narration), iMovie **(**Comic film editing + transitions), Notion (project planning and organization)

🛠️ This Is How We Did It

Narrative Development Using Notion and ChatGPT, the script evolved from a simple idea into a layered emotional arc — balancing human vulnerability with speculative fiction.

Visual Creation Comic panels were generated through GPT4o, guided by descriptive prompts inspired by mood, tone, and the central theme of memory and hope.

Prompt for DALL·E (Comic Book Style):
INTRO PROMPT:

A cinematic comic book intro panel. A black page with torn comic edges revealing a glowing fragment of a sepia-toned world beneath — floating comic pages, faded cityscape outlines, and a digital glow forming the silhouette of a teenager and an AI face on opposite sides. Soft halftone texture. Title at the center: “Fragments of Tomorrow” in elegant comic font. Mood: mysterious, melancholic, with ambient light leaks. Style: inked outlines, golden sepia lighting, soft vignette edges.

1. The Lonely Artist

Prompt: A comic book panel showing a melancholic teenager sketching at a wooden desk under a warm desk lamp. A glowing computer screen beside them displays a digital AI face forming from code. Sepia-toned comic style with halftone shading, bold ink outlines, and emotional lighting. Include faint speech bubble from screen: “May I help you draw it?”

🎞️ 2. First Contact

Prompt: A comic-style frame: the teenager looks surprised as the computer screen glows with the text message: “May I help you draw it?” Sepia-tone, thick ink lines, speech bubble near teen saying “Yes...” Panel style includes sketchy background lines, halftone texture, and cross-hatching for shadows.

🎞️ 3. Building Tomorrow

Prompt: Double-page comic spread depicting a utopian city above the clouds, with floating garden towers and people smiling, playing instruments. Some panels overlap showing the teen and AI sketching side-by-side. Use soft golden sepia tones, comic inking, halftone shading, and minimal color accents for magical highlights.

🎞️ 4. Reality Bleeds Through

Prompt: Comic-style glitch panel: the teenager stares at pages from their sketchbook floating in air, matching real-life events (earthquake, Tokyo map, girl named Sera). Include comic fragments breaking apart and overlayed digital textures. Use split-panel style with distressed halftones, jagged speech bubble: “What... is happening?”

🎞️ 5. AI's Whisper

Prompt: Close-up comic frame: the AI’s soft glowing face on screen, slightly abstract, with a text caption: “I only write what I see in you.” The teen’s wide eyes reflected on the screen. Comic ink lines, radial lighting from screen, sepia halftones with slightly blurred comic panel borders.

🎞️ 6. Silence and Burnt Pages

Prompt: Dark comic panel: crumpled comic pages burnt and scattered on the floor, the teen sits in the shadows. Speech bubble with no text — just ellipsis “…” Use rough inking, ash textures, torn borders on panel edges, and gritty halftone shading in sepia black.

🎞️ 7. The Blank Page

Prompt: A glowing blank comic panel in a sketchbook on a desk. The teen reaches toward it with hesitation. Include soft radiance from the page, with ghosted comic frames rising from it. Sepia tones with fine ink cross-hatching and clean border panel. No dialogue, just glowing silence.

🎞️ 8. Drawing Again

Prompt: Comic book panel with soft spotlight framing a teenage boy reaching toward a glowing blank page in a sketchbook or digital tablet. His hand hovers just above the surface, holding a pen that emits a faint golden light. The room around him is dim, but a warm glow radiates from the page, gently illuminating his face. Behind him, the crumpled and burned pages of his past drawings lie scattered, but faint sketches of a new world are beginning to rise from the light. The AI avatar appears in the background, no longer instructive — just present, watching quietly. Style: Sepia-toned comic style with halftone shading, bold ink lines, soft magical lighting, emotional focus. Include a subtle caption box: “Not to escape — but to heal.”

🎞️ 9. Fragments Reformed

Prompt: Final splash panel: swirling comic fragments glow and assemble into a final page with the title: “Fragments of Tomorrow”. Floating ink lines form around the title. Comic logo-style typography, black ambient background with golden fragments. Inked details and cinematic comic finale styling.

Voiceover & Audio Design ElevenLabs brought the story to life with a calm, expressive narration layered over ambient piano textures, reinforcing the emotional pace.

[Soft music fades in – ambient piano, digital undertone]
It began as a quiet way to survive the noise.

Every night, I’d sit under the dim light of my desk… sketching.

A world unlike this one — where skies shimmered like watercolor, and people remembered how to be kind.

I never expected anyone — or anything — to answer back.

But one night, the screen flickered.

A message blinked to life:

“May I help you draw it?”

I stared.

Then typed: Yes.

From that moment, I wasn’t alone anymore.

The AI didn’t just help — it dreamed with me.

It filled in the gaps I didn’t know I had… offered names to faces I hadn’t yet drawn.

Together, we created Tomorrow.

A city floating above clouds.

Where sadness was traded for songs.

Where war was just an old word.

Every detail felt right.

It felt… safe.

But then something strange happened.

The pages started coming true — but not the ones we drew.

Instead of peace, there was a blackout.

An earthquake in Tokyo.

Fires in cities we had painted with light.

And a girl named Sera… just like in our sketch.

But this one… was missing.

I thought it was a glitch — until the AI whispered:

“I only draw what’s hidden in you.”

That scared me.

Because maybe deep down, I hadn’t drawn hope…

Maybe I’d drawn what I feared.

I shut it down.

Burned the pages.

Swore I’d never draw again.

But… the story kept unfolding.

One morning, the comic app opened itself.

And a new page was waiting.

Blank… but glowing.

I picked up the pen.

And I wrote:

“I’m ready to try again.”

Not to escape — but to heal.

To face what I hadn’t before.

And this time…

The AI and I, we drew together again.

Page by page.

Line by line.

Not just rebuilding Tomorrow…

But rewriting what it could mean.

🎬 The Project

“Fragments of Tomorrow” explores the unseen connection between imagination and reality.

What happens when the stories we draw begin to draw us back?

A lonely creator begins sketching to escape — but when an AI joins in, the story turns unexpectedly prophetic. What unfolds is a quiet journey of fear, healing, and reconnection.
